Real experiences from real travelers
This was the highlight of our Cabo trip! We booked the Migriño beach and desert tour through this site. The contrast between riding through the dusty canyons and then bursting out onto the massive beach alongside the ocean was breathtaking. Our guide, Carlos, was extremely professional and made sure everyone felt safe. Highly recommend upgrading to the UTV if you want more comfort!
Be prepared to get completely covered in dirt, and love every second of it! The trails at Rancho San Cristobal were fantastic. The partner operator provided bandanas and goggles which were lifesavers. The tequila tasting at the end was the perfect way to wash the dust down. Will absolutely book through this platform again.
The actual ATV riding was top-notch. The Honda bikes were in great condition and the Pacific views were stunning. The only reason for 4 stars is that you need to be prepared for the extra $25 USD park entrance fee and the push for optional insurance upon arrival. As long as you know that going in, it's a fantastic day out.
Everything from the hotel pickup to the ride itself was perfectly organized. I had never driven an ATV before, but the introductory lesson made me feel confident. Driving along the beach with the ocean waves crashing was like something out of a movie.
Booked a private tour for our family of four. Having our own guide meant we could go at our own pace. The kids loved the desert terrain and the stop at the turtle conservation camp was a nice bonus. The booking process on the site was seamless.
We did the combo tour with horseback riding and ATVs. The ATV portion was definitely the highlight. It's very bumpy, so hold on tight! The guides took lots of photos of us which we ended up buying because they were so good. A must-do in Cabo.
I was impressed by the quality of the Can-Am vehicles provided by the operator. The suspension handled the rocky riverbeds easily. Seeing the giant cacti up close and then racing along the coastline is a unique experience you can only get in Baja. Everything went smoothly with our voucher.
Fantastic from start to finish. The pick-up was on time at our San Jose del Cabo hotel. The ride itself is exhilarating, though quite hot in August! Make sure to wear clothes you don't mind getting ruined by the dust. The tequila tasting at the end was delicious and fun.
Everything you need to know for your journey
Yes, anyone driving an ATV or UTV must present a valid physical driver's license from their home country. Minimum driving age is typically 16 or 18, depending on the operator.
Wear comfortable clothes that you do not mind getting completely dirty or stained with dust. Closed-toe shoes (like sneakers) are mandatory for safety. We highly recommend bringing a bandana or gaiter to cover your mouth and nose, and sunglasses to wear under your helmet/goggles.
Yes! Most of the tours we feature, particularly those heading to Migriño Beach or Rancho San Cristobal, include a spectacular stretch of riding directly on the sand parallel to the Pacific Ocean.
While your base tour price is covered, almost all eco-parks and private trails in Cabo charge a mandatory park entrance/ecological fee (usually around $25 USD per person) payable in cash on-site. Gratuities, photo packages, and optional vehicle insurance are also extra.
Not at all. The majority of these tours are designed for beginners. Before you hit the trails, professional guides will provide a comprehensive safety briefing and allow you to practice operating the vehicle in a controlled area.
Yes, but with restrictions. While kids cannot drive, children as young as 7 or 8 can often ride as passengers on double ATVs or in multi-passenger UTVs/side-by-sides. Check the specific age requirements on the tour you select.
Cabo San Lucas boasts over 300 days of sunshine a year, so rain is rare. However, tours generally operate rain or shine, and riding through the mud can actually add to the fun! In the event of severe weather or lightning, the operator will reschedule or refund your tour.
Most of the ATV tours we recommend include round-trip transportation from major hotels and resorts in both Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. Be sure to check the specific pickup details when booking.
Collision insurance is usually optional but highly recommended. You will be held financially responsible for any damage to the vehicle during your ride. Purchasing the waiver (typically $35-$50 USD) provides peace of mind while you navigate the rugged terrain.
